Future Medical Cost Projection

Settlement Agreement Review
Focused solely on Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) matters in the settlement agreement, Jorah’s team of experts provide defense counsel case specific recommendations and proposed language to ensure the MSP matters handled by the Jorah team are properly documented in the settlement.
Resolution Outcome Management
After identifying the cost-drivers and savings opportunities within the claim, our Resolution Outcome Management team will contact the claimant’s treating provider(s) to obtain statements regarding treatment, resolve conflicting treatment recommendations and address alternative treatments identified as cost-drivers in the claim.
SSDI Verification
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is important to verify on Workers’ Compensation settlements in excess of $250,000 as there may be “reasonable expectation” of Medicare entitlement within 30 months post-settlement, thus resulting in a recommendation for a Medicare Set-Aside. Our team will assist in determining the claimant’s SSDI status with the appropriate Social Security office.
G2G/Treasury Offset
The Treasury can intercept funds owned to any organization in order to pay debts owed to the government, including Medicare Conditional Payments. Our G2G/Treasury Offset solution ensures timely notification of Treasury Offsets and any liens that are sent to the Treasury for collections. We analyze Medicare’s charges and work to obtain a reduction or refund of any offsets that were not owed to Medicare.
SSN/DOB Identification
Determining Medicare Beneficiary status requires key information to query the Medicare database. First name, last name, date of birth (DOB), social security number (SSN), and gender are often referred to as the “Big 5”. Jorah’s SSN/DOB Identification service can identify missing claim data, allowing our clients to query and report claims as required.
